Services Work permit
Foreign citizens coming from outside EU/EEA can work in Romania only after getting a work permit, and subsequently a long stay visa for work and a residence permit. Depending on your activity there are different types of work permits that can be granted to foreign citizens: for permanent workers, seasonal workers, for trainees, for athletes, for cross-border workers, nominal work permit.
It is the employer who is submitting the required papers and pay tha applicable taxes to obtain the work permit. After obtaining the work permit, the foreign citizen must get the long term visa at the Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices. The entire process will take between 30-90 days.
